            Secure Buyer Contact Updates with Two-Step Verification

            Secure buyer contact updates for a B2B Store with one-time passcodes (OTP). If a shopper changes their email address or phone number, an OTP is first sent to their current email address to confirm their identity. A second OTP is then sent to the new email address or phone number to verify the change. This process ensures that only authorized shoppers can update their contact details.

            Required Editions

            The buyer's username and email ID must match. If a buyer updates their email ID, then the username automatically changes to match the updated email ID.

            1. In the navigation sidebar, select a store from the Store dropdown.
            2. Select Settings | Store.
            3. Click Buyer Access.
            4. Under Buyer Information Security, turn on Two-Factor Authentication and Verification.
            5. Go to Website Design and then click Experience Builder.
            6. From the list of pages, select My Profile page.
            7. If you find these components, delete them: (Deprecated) My Profile and (Deprecated) My Account Password.
            8. Drag the Profile Details component onto the page.
            9. Save your changes.

            After the preceding steps are done, shoppers are required to verify their email address and phone number. For any future changes to these contact details, an OTP will be sent to the shopper's existing email address for verification, and a separate OTP will also be sent to the new email address or phone number for confirmation of the change.
