          Use Case: Use Analytics, Insights, Goals, and Actions to Improve Site Conversion Rate

          Intelligence analytics dashboards and calculated insights help you study how products, categories, search, and promotions affect your B2B or D2C Commerce site's conversion rate. Based on your review, you can complete recommended actions to help improve the site's conversion rate. You can also set goals to measure the performance of your completed actions and their impact on the site's conversion rate over time.

          Required Editions

          The Insights workspace is where the intelligence analytics dashboards, calculated insights, goals, and recommended actions come together. The advanced Overview dashboard and intelligence analytics dashboards are available if you have Data 360 provisioned with CRM Analytics. To view site conversion rate data in the Insights workspace, enable site conversion rate in the Data 360 for B2B setup screen. See Set Up Data 360 for B2B Commerce.

          1. Review the Insights Overview dashboard. In the Overview dashboard, you can view insights and trends for several key performance indicators (KPI), including total orders, gross sales, average order value, and site conversion rate. It’s possible that this dashboard shows that your site's conversion rate has decreased over the last 30 days. See Advanced Insights Overview Dashboard.
          2. Review the Product Intelligence Analytics dashboard for low-selling products. Use the Product Intelligence analytics dashboard to identify which products are low-selling. It’s possible they’re contributing to your decreased site conversion rate. In the Product Performance section, select Low Sellers, wait for the dashboard to refresh, and review the low-selling products. See Product Intelligence Analytics Dashboard.
          3. Review recommended actions for site conversion rate. In the Overview dashboard, you can review recommended actions that are associated with specific goals. If your goal is to increase site conversion rate, click the recommendations link in the Increase Site Conversion tile. Several recommended actions are available for you to choose from. Click Get Started to learn more about each action.
          4. Accept Boost Promoted Products in Search recommended action. One of the recommended actions under Increase Site Conversion is Boost Promoted Products in Search. This action creates a boost rule that boosts your low-selling products in search results. Click Get Started and then Create Rule. To view the boost rule, go to Merchandising | Rules.
          5. Set a goal for site conversion rate. You can also set goals to help track the impact of your changes. In the Increase Site Conversion tile, click Edit Target. Select Specific Target, enter a target site conversion value and end date, and then click Save.
            The target remains set until you reach the target value or its end date.
          6. Track site conversion rate trends. After some time, you can return to the Overview dashboard to review updated insights and validate that your new boost rule is having a positive impact on your site's conversion rate goal.
