Commerce workspaces are dedicated to specific merchandising jobs to help with the setup
and ongoing management of your B2B store. The Commerce workspace list view functions a
little differently from the standard Salesforce list view. Each workspace functions specifically
for the type of data it’s meant to manage, but you can accomplish some common tasks across
workspaces.
These are some highlights of what you can do with the Commerce workspace list view:
View data filtered by store.
Create cross-entity records, for example, Product, Price, and Category together.
Select and filter cross-entity fields for columns, such as Related Lists. For example,
filter products based on category assignment.
Edit multiple records.
Filter and search products in the Product workspace.
Create lists.
Important Workspace Usage Notes
Sorting is available only in the Category workspace.
Search your full product catalog in the Product workspace. The system searches for the
term in all indexed columns, for example, all columns with text fields. You can use
wildcards, operators, and reserved characters. For example, you can enter these search terms:
(Blue AND Shirt): Finds products with
the words “blue” and “shirt” in any product field.
60100*: Finds SKUs with 60100 as the first numbers.
Sip\&Go: Finds products with the name “Sip&Go.” Because the ampersand
(&) character is a reserved character, insert a backslash (\) to indicate the
literal & character.
For information about which wildcards, operators, and reserved characters you can
use in the Product Workspace search box, see FIND {SearchQuery}.
After two minutes, the search times out. To decrease the time required for
searching, try narrowing the search term.
In the Promotions workspace, we recommend activating and prioritizing only the
promotions that you need. This improves store performance. When a customer adds products
to the cart, the first 50 active manual promotions and the first 50 active automatic
promotions are evaluated for the customer’s account to determine whether they apply.
