Import Inventory in Bulk Using Omnichannel Inventory
Add inventory and update existing records in bulk instead of using APIs or adding records individually. Import records using either a CSV or JSON file.
- File Format Guidelines for Importing SKUs with Omnichannel Inventory
Use a CSV or JSON file to import SKUs. When you construct the inventory import file, specify column headings that correspond to location, SKU, quantity, and availability information. If other fields are included, they’re ignored. We recommend that you use the provided sample CSV file to prepare your inventory. - Cap Safety Stock
Safety stock acts as a buffer to control a location’s inventory and reduce the risk of running out of stock. Although safety stock works on a location level, it aggregates up to the group level and can impact other locations in the group. A safety stock quantity that exceeds a location’s on-hand stock can limit the available stock across the network when it aggregates to the group. Prevent underselling by capping your safety stock to prevent it from exceeding on-hand counts. - Import Inventory with a CSV or JSON File
Use the Omnichannel Inventory app to upload new or updated inventory in bulk. You can use either a CSV or JSON file that contains the inventory SKUs.
