Add the Inventory Reservation Component to the Checkout Page (Deprecated)
The Checkout Inventory Reservation component was deprecated in Summer ‘25. This component is no longer available in Experience Builder for new implementations. If you have an existing inventory reservation flow that uses this component before Summer ‘25, the component functions as designed. If you remove the component from the Checkout page, you won’t be able to re-add it.
The new streamlined place order flow creates inventory reservations automatically during the checkout process.
- For new stores created after Summer ‘25, the streamlined place order flow handles inventory reservations automatically. See Streamlined Place Order.
- For existing stores that haven’t upgraded past Summer ‘25, enable the new place order flow. See Streamlined Place Order.
- To show inventory information to customers, you can still develop customizations on top of the place order flow with Salesforce Omnichannel APIs. See Salesforce Omnichannel Inventory Resources.
