Simulate Fulfillment Outcomes for Routing Rule Groups
Analyze routing rule group performance by simulating how your historical orders would’ve been routed under the conditions of different rule groups. The simulation shows the average fulfillment time, how often fulfillment orders split, and the percent of orders that were successfully routed. It then compares those metrics to how the orders were actually routed.
You can only run one simulation at a time. However, after you run a simulation, the simulation data remains in a tab, so you can compare multiple simulations.
- In the Rule Management tab of Order Fulfillment Setup, open the Simulation tab.
- Select a rule group to simulate data for.
- Select whether the simulation uses the draft or live version of the group.
- Set a data window. The data window determines what historical data is simulated using your rule group.
-
Click Simulate. Simulations can take a while to run, so refresh the
page periodically to update the status.
The simulation appears, showing how the historical data would have routed using the selected rule group. Compare this data alongside the routing that actually occurred. The simulation also shows the weight of each rule in the rule group and which fulfillment locations would’ve been selected.
