Set Up Pay Now as a Standalone Feature
Use the Commerce Setup Assistant to set up Pay Now. This assistant is available with Salesforce Payments, regardless of whether you have B2B and D2C Commerce. The assistant enables Salesforce Payments, which is a prerequisite to use Pay Now, and helps you create a Pay Now store.

This video explains how to set up Pay Now as an independent feature.
If you can’t watch the video in full screen, open the video on a new tab: Set Up Pay Now and Expand Your Revenue Streams.
The steps are also listed here.
-
At the top of the page, click
and select Setup.
- In the Quick Find Box, find, and select Commerce Setup Assistant.
-
Under Prepare Your Org for Salesforce Payments, click Get
Started.
The assistant enables Payments, and returns you to the assistant's main page.
- Under Get Paid Easily with Pay Now, click Get Started.
- Confirm that Pay Now is selected as the way you want to sell, and then click Next.
- Enter the required ship-to country, language, and currency, and then Next.
-
Enter a store name.
Don’t include an apostrophe.
-
Enter a string in the URL Path. Only alphanumeric characters are
allowed. Don’t enter a full URL path, and don’t use hyphens, slashes, or spaces.
The URL is this string added to your Salesforce domain name. For example, if the domain is MyDomainName.my.site.com, and you enter jewelry, the URL becomes MyDomainName.my.site.com/jewelry.
-
Click Start Selling.
The Pay Now store is created, and you’re placed on the store home page where you see a list of tasks.
-
Brand your store.
- Enter a URL for a branding site, or click Skip. Upload any logos or images, and specify any other branding in the fields provided.
- Finish branding setup.
-
Set up checkout so your store can accept payments.
- In the Payments section of the Checkout page, click Add a Merchant Account.
-
Select the configuration option that fits your situation, and follow the guided
steps to link the merchant account to a payment gateway.
If you use an existing payment gateway account, it must be one that was previously established from Salesforce Payments.
- Refresh your browser page, and check the merchant account status. If the status is Restricted, click Complete Setup, and complete the registration at the payment gateway.
- After you return to the checkout page, refresh your browser page and confirm that the status is Complete.
- (Optional) Select payment methods. Credit cards are available by default. To add other options, click Add Payment Methods, make your selections, and save your changes.
-
If you add PayPal as a payment method, modify your PayPal account so that customers
have to provide a contact phone number during checkout.
- Log in to your PayPal account from your account settings.
- Select Website payments | Website preferences.
- Turn on Contact Telephone Number.
-
Make your store available online by clicking Activate.
A Pay Now URL is linked to the active store. You can verify the URL on the Payments page in Setup
.
After your store is ready, create payment links that direct customers to a payment page to complete a transaction. You can send links to your customers directly or associate them with any Salesforce record to integrate payments into any existing work flow.
