            Set Up a Channel Manually for Payment Data

            Set up an Experience Cloud site as a channel for payment data to flow from the payment gateway to Salesforce Payments. This site is required to enable Salesforce Payments and it’s used only as a data pipeline. Your customers don’t access this site.

            Tip
            Tip If you’re setting up a D2C store for the first time, bypass this process and instead let the Commerce Setup Assistant enable and configure Payments for your org. For more information, see Video: Choose Your Checkout Solution and Set Up a Commerce Store.

            These manual setup steps assume that you’ve enabled enhanced domains for your org and that your Experience Cloud site URL uses the syntax *.my.site.com. An enhanced domain includes the recommended Salesforce content delivery network (CDN). If you can’t or don’t want to use enhanced domains, set up the CDN manually.

            Typically, Digital Experiences is already enabled as part of your Commerce store setup. If that’s the case, skip the first step.

            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Digital Experiences, then select Settings | Enable Digital Experiences. Save your changes.
            2. Under Digital Experiences, select All Sites, and click New.
            3. Select Build Your Own (LWR), and click Get Started.
            4. Enter the site name and the URL prefix sfpwebhook, and click Create.
            5. Return to the All Sites page.
            6. Next to the new site, click Workspaces.
            7. Select Administration.
            8. Under Settings, select Preferences, and then select Allow guests users to access public APIs.
            9. Return to Settings and activate the site.
            10. Return to the All sites page, and select Builder for the new site.
            11. Click Publish.

            Don’t delete this site because it’s critical for Salesforce Payments operation.
