          Salesforce Payments Setup

          Salesforce Payments Setup

Use Salesforce Payments for easy-to-integrate payment processing for B2B and D2C Commerce and Pay Now stores.

There are two ways to set up Payments:

          • Use the Commerce Setup Assistant (recommended)—An easy, guided setup that automates many tasks.
          • Use the Setup menu—A manual configuration process.

To use Pay Now on its own, only a standalone Payments license is required. To use Commerce and Payments, a combination of a Commerce and a Payments license is required. Review license and feature information in Salesforce Payments Licenses.

          • Enable Salesforce Payments with the Commerce Setup Assistant
Use the Commerce Setup Assistant to enable Salesforce Payments in B2B and D2C Commerce stores and to guide you through store creation.
          • Enable Salesforce Payments Manually
To use Salesforce Payments in B2B and D2C Commerce stores for financial transactions, first set up an Experience Cloud site as a data channel between the payment provider and Payments. Then, enable Payments for your org and assign permissions to users. Finally, follow a guided setup to create a merchant account and payment method set, which is a group of payment methods that you accept from customers.
          • Merchant Account Considerations for Adyen and Stripe
Before you configure merchant accounts in a B2B Commerce or Pay Now store, understand how your Salesforce org type determines whether you use live or test accounts for Adyen and Stripe.
          • Domain Registration for Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link
To accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Link (Stripe only) as payment methods, register your store’s domain name with Stripe or Adyen. Register your domain for each Salesforce Payments merchant account that accepts one of these payment methods. For example, to support Apple Pay on 25 merchant accounts, register 25 times.
          • Verify Google Pay Setup for Use with Payments
To make sure customers can select Google Pay at checkout, add it as a payment method when you set up a merchant account.
          • Salesforce Payments Merchant Accounts and Payment Methods
To use Salesforce Payments as your payment service, configure a merchant account and add payment methods to that account. If you are using Payments with a B2B, D2C, or Pay Now store, complete these tasks when you configure store checkout. If you are using Payments independent of any store configuration, complete these tasks from the Payments app.
          • Manual Capture for Payment Processing
Manual capture lets you authorize a payment, and then capture that payment at a later time. Capturing payments manually gives you more control and flexibility over the payment process.
