POS App Flow

POS App Flow

The POS app lets store workers do important sales tasks, like printing tax-adjusted receipts after a sale and storing data in the cloud for tax reporting.

Printing Receipts

After a sale is completed, the store associate can print the receipt for the transaction to be fiscalized. After the receipt is printed, the fiscal data is stored in Point of Sale and later reported to the tax authority. The receipt is printed after Print Receipt is tapped on the app.

In case of an error, the POS app retries to print the receipt. If the call runs out of attempts, the POS app shows an error message. In case Print Receipt is tapped again, the receipt is copy of the original one - a reprint. Reprints won't be fiscalized.

Reprinting Receipts

Reprinting a receipt of a sale is possible in the POS app. However, reprints won't be reported to the tax authority. Go to the Order History screen and search for the order to be reprinted.

Tap Receipt Options and then tap Print Receipt.

Refunding Items

The POS app allows for refunds. These receipts are printed out and then reported to the tax authority. Go to the Returns and Exchanges screen and search for the order to be refunded.

Select the items to be returned, then tap Return Selected Products. The products are added to the cart as returned products.

Lastly, select the refund options and proceed with the return.

Lottery

Before a customer proceeds to checkout, the sales associate can add the customer's lottery code from the cart options. The lottery code can be entered manually or scanned. It's then saved into the POS app and printed out on the receipt.

Starting in 2023, the lottery receipts are undergoing a transition to an instant verification process. This change involves the incorporation of QR codes on receipts, allowing customers to promptly confirm whether their receipt is a winning one through code scanning.

Salesforce has completed the necessary firmware updates. To test the lottery, the printer must be in either DEMO or SIMULATION mode Epson Documentation. For detailed instructions on how to set to either mode, contact Salesforce Customer Support.
