Display Printer Name for Store Associates

Easily find and select printers in the Point of Sale (POS) app at stores that maintain a 1-to-Many topology.

Printer Naming

You can set your printers to have names that are easy for people to understand. However, depending on your printer model, these names can't be found in the POS application. Due to this being unreliable, it is recommended you provide printer names via the CMS. Any provided printer names will override manufacture settings and provide a better name within the Retail Cloud POS. If a printer name isn't provided via the CMS, the printer's Mac Address will be shown.

CMS - Configuration & Setup

Printer name to Mac address mappings are configured via the CMS. For more information about the store data feed and expected data format specifications, see Store Device Feed.

Note
Note If uploading a store device feed, any existing uploaded devices are lost.

Feed Mappings

Within the CMS, go to Feeds > Field Mapping > Store Device.

Manual Upload

Within the CMS, go to Feeds > Manual Upload > Stores > Store Device.
