Check Point of Sale App Permissions
Check the status of the Point of Sale (POS) app permissions. Review a list of all the permissions required by the app to fully function and are prompted to approve any permission that is not authorized.

Setup and Configure the Point of Sale CMS
Setting up the CMS requires you to turn on a deep link. To do this, go to layouts and add a entry with the deep link.

View a list of permissions the app needs and the status after deep link setup to make sure the store associates can use the app as planned. The app checks if permissions are granted, denied, or have other issues.
Camera
Camera permission may be authorized, denied, or not determined. If it's not authorized, then the app will prompt the user to go to settings and authorize access. The camera's permission is mainly used to scan any barcode.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth permission may have different statuses. The permission may be authorized, denied, or not determined. Additionally, the device's setting may be turned on or turned off, and it may be not supported at all by the device. This information will appear in the Bluetooth row. Bluetooth is used by the app in order to connect to peripherals such as payment readers or printers.
Location
Location permission may be authorized, denied, authorized while the app is in use, or not determined. The app prompts the user to accept permission if it's at least partially granted. Location permission is used in different cases, such as finding the nearest stores.
Mobile Data
Mobile data may be authorized, denied, or not determined. In case it's authorized, it may also be turned off in the device's settings, or not reachable at all. This information will appear in the Mobile data row. If not authorized in the app permissions, the associate will be prompted to go to settings and turn it on.
Local Network
Local network may be granted or not. It’s used to connect to devices on the same local network. If not granted, the app will show a message to turn it on in settings.
Known Issues and Restrictions
- Local network permission is only available on devices with an iOS version of 14 or higher.
- Bluetooth check has been removed from the Device Manager screen.
- Users are prompted on initial launch to provide their grant permission. On subsequent launches, users are automatically notified if the POS isn't authorized for the specific permission.
