The POS app has the following hierarchy for which field is shown as the unique identifier of a product in the receipts:
- VariantGroupId
- GTIN
- SKU
- ProductId
VariantGroupId takes precedence in the hierarchy only if the setting Show Variant Group ID is enabled during the receipt configuration.
Known Issues & Restrictions
- AirPrint isn’t available for gift receipts.
- You can use gift receipts only in an Order Confirmation layout.
- Gift receipts are available for sales and exchange transactions but not for orders with returns.
- If your return policies allow multiple refund options for gift receipts, don’t associate a PS tag with the barcode component of the gift receipt at SKU-level. See Set Up and Configure Returns Policy.
