Configure Email and Print Templates to Show Product Bundle Details in Point of Sale

Set up email and print templates to show the individual items in a product bundle.

These template types support bundle details:

  • Customer Order Confirmation
  • Auto. Customer Order Confirmation
  • Order Print Receipt
  • Order Refund Confirmation
  • Transaction Print Receipt

Get the bundle component section into your template by using one of these methods:

  • Use a default template (recommended). Default templates include the bundle component section with the correct column structure.
  • Add the section manually. Only use this method if you have a heavily customized template you don't want to rebuild from scratch.

Use a Default Template

The default templates contain the bundle component section.

  1. In CMS, go to Layouts | Layout Templates | Email & Print Templates.
  2. Select Add From Template, then select the template type.
  3. Edit the layout without removing the bundle component section.
  4. Publish the layout.
  5. Repeat these steps for each required template type.

Add the Bundle Component Section Manually

  1. In CMS, go to Layouts | Layout Templates | Email & Print Templates, then edit the template.
  2. In the visual editor, click inside the row that contains Product Template Placeholder End, then select Insert row after from the table toolbar twice.

  5. Configure the bundle component row.
    • First cell: copy the product image from the bundle item row.
    • Second cell: insert Product Title and Product ID from PS Tags | Products. Add a SKU: label before the product ID.
    • Third cell: insert Product Quantity from PS Tags | Products.
    • Fourth cell: leave blank. Don't add a currency symbol or a price tag.
Bundle component row with the product image, title, ID, and quantity configured across the first three cells.
  6. Open Table Properties for the 4x1 table and set width to 100%, border width to 0, border style to None when available, and height to automatic or blank.
Table Properties for the 4x1 table with width set to 100 percent and borders removed.
  7. Drag the vertical column borders to align the component row.
    • Position the image and title to the left of their positions in the regular product row.
    • Keep the quantity column in the same position and width as the regular product quantity column.
    • Use the fourth, blank cell for all space to the right of the quantity column.
  8. Click inside the second new row and select PS Tags | Products | Bundle Component Template Placeholder End.
Bundle Component Template Placeholder End tag inserted in the second new row.
  9. Confirm that the visual editor shows, in order: Product Template Placeholder End, Bundle Component Template Placeholder Start, the 4x1 bundle component table, then Bundle Component Template Placeholder End.
  10. Select Publish.

The visual editor can show faint dotted table guides even when border width is 0. Use Send Test Email or the applicable receipt flow to confirm that the delivered output has no visible component-table or cell borders.
