Manage Offline Events for Point of Sale Registers

Create an offline event in Point of Sale CMS to force registers into offline mode or end an active event early when network issues resolve.

  1. Create an offline event.
    1. In CMS, go to Store Management | Offline Event Management.
    2. Click Create New Offline Event.
    3. Enter a name for the event.
    4. Select the scope:
      • All stores: Applies the offline event to all stores in your organization.
      • Selected stores: Select specific stores from the list.
    5. Enter the date and time when the offline status expires and registers automatically recover.
    6. Select your time zone.
    7. (Optional) Enter a custom message to show on POS devices during the offline event. Use this message to inform store associates about the situation and expected duration.
    8. Click Publish Event.
    Create offline event configuration screen
  2. End an offline event early.
    1. In the Active Offline Event section, click End and Recover Now.
    2. Review the recovery confirmation. The event ends immediately and sends recovery signals to all affected registers. Recovery takes approximately 5–15 minutes.
    3. Click Yes, Recover Now.
End offline event recovery confirmation dialog

The selected registers switch to offline mode immediately. When the scheduled recovery time arrives, or when you manually end the event, registers automatically return to online mode.
