          Set Up Order Number Prefixes for Point of Sale

          Configure order number prefixes to identify store and transaction types when processing orders.

          • Modern POS App Build: 7.9.1 and later
          • Platform Support: iPad, iPhone
          • Offline Support: Yes
          1. Go to Advanced | Order Number Range Config.
          2. Create a configuration.
          3. Configure the rest of the settings by referring to the table:
            Setting Description
            Operating Mode

            Select a transaction type to configure:

            • Online Orders – Orders placed and processed online
            • Offline Orders – Orders processed without network connectivity
            • Two Phase Staged Orders – Orders created in one phase and completed in another
            • Quotes – Price quotes that can turn into orders
            • Payment Transaction IDs – Payment-specific transaction tracking
            Prefix Enter a prefix to prepend to every order number (for example, PS). To include the store ID, add {storeId} to the prefix. For example, PS{storeId} generates order numbers like PS5011.
            Current Order Number Enter the starting order number for this configuration. For example, 00001.
            Store ID To apply the configuration, select a store. To apply to all stores, select default.
            Payment Device ID To apply the configuration, select a payment device. To apply to all devices, select default.
