Perform Warranty Checks at the Point of Sale

Associates can run the warranty check during checkout so the POS calls the Warranty SPI. This check reviews eligible warranties and prompts associates to confirm them before adding them to the cart.

          • Moder POS App Build: 12.0.1 or later
          • Platform Support: iPhone & iPad
          • Offline Support: No
          • Files: Product Feed configured with add-on products and warranty SKU products.

Confirm that you’ve configured CMS to handle warranty products. See Configure Product Warranties in CMS.

          1. In POS, on the Cart page, tap Warranty. If you have warranty checks set up, the POS app blocks checkout until warranties are confirmed.
          2. Review eligible warranties and their pricing and descriptions, and then tap Confirm.
          3. If you add or remove cart items after a warranty check, you must check for warranties again.
          4. (Optional) To remove a warranty from the cart, select the trash can icon on the warranty line item. This action requires an associate approval policy. See Configure Product Warranties in CMS.
