          Release notes for Modern POS Version 9.4.2, including feature enhancements, bug fixes, and open issues.

          Overview

          This release supersedes all of the previous releases including 9.4.1. The exact release version is 9.4.2 r25494 (SP). This release is identical to 9.4.1 that was published earlier with one additional fix for finance tender handling (highlighted in bold below)

          Please note this release is a hotfix and should only be downloaded for customers who require this particular build.

          Limitations

          Bug fixes and enhancements included in this build are only targeted for Omnichannel (v2) Overview. Omni V1 was not tested for this build and is not considered supported on this and future versions of the POS app.

          Cart

          • [9.4.2] Error message was not shown when finance tender failed to apply to the cart
          • Multiple items were successfully scanned, but upon adding them to the cart, not all items were visible
          • In certain instances, adding an item in offline mode triggered a reset tender popup in the app
          • The store price was displayed for a product in the cart instead of the sales price when the "store.price.overrides.sale.price" toggle was disabled in the store settings
          • The multi-tender button on cart screen goes to guest pickup information instead of customer lookup

          Order

          • Triggering the scanner from product search treated a Non-Receipt Returns (NRR) as a sale
          • The customer profile was not included in the JSON payload for unreferenced return workflows
          • Discrepancies between charged amounts and expected amounts for specific orders
          • Customer profile has no email and users are allowed to place orders without adding an email to the shipment

          Crashes

          • When printing receipts
          • The Product Display Page (PDP) when no layouts are configured
          • The layout display
          • While disconnecting from a Star (Star Micronics) printer

          UI

          • In the inventory adjustment page, adding more than one item caused all items to be displayed in a single section
          • The total amount was partially hidden in the return details screen
          • The quantity dropdown was overlapping with the net subtotal in the return details screen
          • The new order section for pick-up orders where the address and timestamp were overlapping
          • The profile page's wishlist section when there was only one item in the wishlist
          • Multiple popups were shown when scanning multiple products in the return screen
          • The text field bottom border was invisible on iOS 17 devices
          • Spinner was not visible when clicking the sign-out button
          • The PDP variant cell displays the sale and store prices twice
          • Updated the error message for customer search when no results are found

          Localization

          • Translations for Portuguese, Italian, French, Spanish, and Catalan

          Offline

          • The net sales calculation was incorrect on the till screen when the app was in offline mode
          • Product search can be now done with product ID as well

          Inventory Management

          • All pallets are not shown after pausing, resuming, and receiving an Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN)

          Tills

          • Prevent till alert before the offline upload is finished
          • The register is set to "Auto" for till management, tillSessionId and tillId were missing in the payload when the order is placed
          • Register prompts the user to open a new till although a till was already created and not closed or reconciled

          Open Issues

           

          Returns

          • User is allowed to scan a product to initiate NRR flow even though NRR is disabled (#45925)
          • Return item doesn't show up on UI when exchange is selected and a ship to home item is added in the cart.(#46541)

          Cart

          • Occasionally, the app displays a timeout message within a few seconds, while the terminal takes a full minute to timeout (#45906)
          • Users receive a "Request does not have fulfillment Type" message when they change the country from the hamburger menu and attempt to add a custom-made item to the cart (#45279)

          Offline

          • Occasionally, when adding items in offline mode, the POS app displays the reset tender popup (#45276) In offline mode, a "Method NOT Implemented" error popup is shown when navigating to the cart, but only when the register ID contains invalid characters, including "/" (#45992)
          • When a coupon code is added to the cart successfully then changing the cart if it doesn't match rules of promotion previously added is not removed from Cart UI but removed from cart summary calculation (#46410)

          Order

          • When the "store.price.overrides.sale.price" toggle is enabled in the store settings, sales price in the app behaves differently in online and offline mode (#45883)

          UI

          • Purchase order history search filter is not working properly (#45931)
          • Missing "Print report" option in sales report page (#45960)

          Customer

          • Customer login logo shows inactive state for logged in customer when searched via loyalty ID (#45790)

          Misc

          • Able to log in without register ID (#45882)
          • POS app stuck in an activation loop when scanning a QR code for a merchant on CMS that has no mobile config setup yet (#45892)
