            Activate Data Stream Sync for Data 360

            After Simple Start adds your Salesforce CRM metadata to Data 360, you can activate the data stream to ingest data. Simple Start ingests streams in an inactive state to prevent immediate credit consumption.

            Required Editions

            Before you begin make sure:

            • Your org is Data 360 provisioned after June 2026.
            • Simple Start is turned on for your home org connection.
            Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
            User Permission Set Needed
            To activate the data stream for Simple Start:

            Permission set:

            • Data Cloud Architect
            1. From Setup, enter Data Cloud Setup in the Quick Find box, and then select Data Cloud Setup.
            2. Click Data Streams.
            3. Find the data stream that you want to activate.
            4. Select the checkbox next to one or more inactive data streams.
            5. Click Activate.

            Data 360 changes the data stream's status to Active. Data 360 begins ingesting data from the source object. This data flows into the standard data lake object and uses the pre-defined mappings to populate the corresponding data model object. You can use this data in segments, analytics, and other processes.
