          Query Data in Data 360

A query is a structured request for specific information from Data 360. It's similar to asking a precise question of your data. Data 360 offers multiple ways to query your data.

          Data 360 Query Tools

You can query Data 360 data in several ways:

          • Integrated Apps: Use integrated apps like Query Editor and DBeaver to visually explore and query data.

          • Data 360 Connect API: Connect mobile apps, websites, and third-party applications to retrieve filtered and localized data using the Connect REST API.
          • Custom Applications: Connect your custom applications to Data 360 to access and use its data through language-specific libraries.

          • Data 360 SQL: Use Data 360 SQL to write precise queries and retrieve very specific information about your data. For detailed information on writing queries, see Query Data in Data 360.

          Topics

          • Query Editor
With the Data 360 Query Editor, you can directly query harmonized customer data using Data 360 SQL (Structured Query Language). You can build queries on data lake objects, data model objects, calculated insights objects, and data graphs.
          • Optimize Queries with Secondary Indexes
With a secondary index, created on a Data Lake Object (DLO), Data 360 quickly finds and returns data based on defined secondary field values. A secondary index improves performance and reduces credit usage.
