Replicate Data 360 Configurations Using Local Data Kits

Move Data 360 metadata and process definitions between data spaces within the same sandbox using the local data kit deployment method. Create a standard data kit in your default data space, and then use a change set to deploy it to other data spaces.

Required Editions

Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
User Permission Set Needed
To deploy a standard data kit in the Data 360 sandbox:

Permission set:

  • Data Cloud Architect

Before you begin, make sure:

  • You’re logged in to a sandbox.
  • You’re working in the default data space.

Create a Data Kit in Sandbox

  1. In your sandbox org, select Data Cloud Setup.
  2. Under Developer Tools, click Data Kits.
  3. On the Data Kits tab, click New.
  4. Select Standard Data Kit type.
  5. Enter the data kit name and developer name.
  6. Verify that the Source Dataspace is set to your default data space.
  7. On the Related tab, in the Data Kit Components section, click Add.
  8. Select the metadata types to include, such as data model objects (DMOs), calculated insights, or segments.
  9. Select the specific components and click Add to data kit.
  10. Click Save.

Deploy a Data Kit to Local Data Spaces

  1. On the Data Kit Detail page, select the standard data kit.
  2. Click Local Data Kit Deploy.
  3. Select the target data space, org ID details, and select a connector type.
  4. Click Deploy.
  5. On the Local Deployment History tab, review the deployment log to verify the status of the deployment.
