Tableau Semantics supports the Open Semantic Interchange (OSI), an open-source standard for sharing semantic models across various platforms and tools.

Limitations
As OSI support is based on the early v0.1 specification, some capabilities are still evolving. Considerations include:
- Calculated fields and metrics aren’t yet translated across platforms.
- Certain metadata requires manual configuration or validation, as reflected in the OSI workflow.
- Automatic synchronization between the original semantic model and Tableau Semantics is not supported.
- Full access to the Tableau semantic model is required for a successful OSI conversion.
