Use a Package Subscriber Org to Trigger a Publish

To speed up testing, use the package subscriber org and manually trigger an activation publish to inspect and validate the output files.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
  1. In Data 360, select Data 360 Setup.
  2. Click External Activation Platform.
  3. To view the package that you’ve installed from another packaging org, select the Subscriber.
    To create an external activation platform entity to package and distribute your app, select Developer.
  4. Select the external activation platform that you want to test.
  5. In the details screen, click Enable.
  6. Navigate back to the list of External Activation Platforms.
  7. To trigger the activation, in the external activation platform’s dropdown menu, select Publish Now.
    When a publish is triggered you must wait until the activation run completes before triggering another publish. You can publish up to 2 requests per hour and a total of 24 requests per day.
