            Assign API Permissions for Agentic Search

            Assign the mandatory permissions required for portal users to access the Smart Search Assistance sub-agent.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited editions for an additional cost. To purchase, contact your Salesforce account executive.
            Available in: Aura Experience Cloud sites that use Build Your Own Template
            Available in: LWR Experience Cloud sites that use Build Your Own Template
            User Permissions Needed
            To API Enabled System Permission
            To manage Permission Sets Manage Profiles and Permission Sets
            1. From Setup, enter Permission Sets in the Quick Find box and select Permission Sets.
            2. Select the permission set assigned to your Experience Cloud site users.
            3. Under System Permissions, select Edit.
            4. Select API Enabled.
            5. Save your changes.
              Without this permission, the FastSearch API cannot return data, and the agent will show empty responses.
