          Configure the Smart Search Assistance Sub-Agent

          Add search and action capabilities to your agent by configuring the Smart Search Assistance sub-agent and mapping its associated variables. This configuration allows the agent to retrieve results specifically from your Experience Cloud site search profile and respects site-specific security boundaries and data sources.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited editions for an additional cost. To purchase, contact your Salesforce account executive.
          Available in: Aura Experience Cloud sites that use Build Your Own Template

          User Permissions Needed

          • View Setup and Configuration
          1. From Setup, enter Agentforce Agents in the Quick Find box, and then select Agentforce Agents.
          2. Click the name of your agent and select Open in Builder.
          3. In the Agentforce Builder sidebar, select the Sub-agents.
          4. Add the Sub-agent and choose Smart Search Assistance from the library.
          5. Within the sub-agent settings, locate the View Action section and make sure Actionable Smart Search is added and active.
          6. In the Context or Variables tab of the Builder, create two new custom variables:
            1. Search Config: A variable to store your Search Configuration ID.
            2. Network: A variable to capture the Network ID of your Experience Cloud site.
          7. Map the Variables:
            1. Select the Actionable Smart Search action within the sub-agent.
            2. Under Tool Input Settings, map the Search Config variable to the Search Configuration input field.
            3. Map the Network variable to the Network ID input field. Map the Portal ID to your specific Site ID to align with the SCTR2 cell mapping logic.
          8. Save your work and select Finish.
          9. Select Activate.
