Before you add the Request Approval component to an object details page, design an autolaunched flow approval process. Consider the input that you want from credentialed site visitors. To require credentialed site visitors to select an approver, assign one or more approval steps to the firstApprover input variable. To expose submitter comments to approvers, use the submissionComments input variable. Test and activate the flow approval process.

  1. Build a flow approval process in Flow Builder.
  2. Activate the flow approval process.
  3. In Experience Builder, go to the relevant object details page.
  4. Drag the Request Approval component into position on an object details page in your site.
