Request Approval
Use the Request Approval component so credentialed site visitors can submit a record for approval. You can configure one flow approval process in the Request Approval component.

Before you add the Request Approval component to an object details page, design an autolaunched
flow approval process. Consider the input that you want from credentialed site visitors. To
require credentialed site visitors to select an approver, assign one or more approval steps
to the firstApprover input variable. To expose submitter comments to
approvers, use the submissionComments input variable. Test and activate the
flow approval process.
- Build a flow approval process in Flow Builder.
- Activate the flow approval process.
- In Experience Builder, go to the relevant object details page.

Drag the Request Approval component into position on an object details page in your
site.

Configure the component to affect how it appears to site visitors.

Important The Record ID is set automatically. Don’t change the field value.Property Details Title The component title that credentialed site visitors see at run time. The default is Request Approval. Flow Approval Process The active, autolaunched flow approval process to run when a credentialed site visitor clicks Start. Flow Approval Process Label A label that identifies the flow approval process to credentialed site visitors. Hide submitter comments Select to hide the Approval Request Comments field from credentialed site visitors. The component shows the field by default. Require submitter to select an approver Select to require that the credentialed site visitor select an approver before submitting. Select this option if the flow approval process assigns one or more steps to the firstApproverinput variable, to prevent the flow approval process from failing.
Tip Changes you make don’t affect how the component appears in Experience Builder. - Save your work.
