Manage Agentforce Agents
Before you start make sure you have,
External Einstein Agent License: You must build your agent by using the Agentforce Service
Agent template.
End-User Permissions: Salesforce admins must assign the API Enabled permission set to
Customer Community Plus users. Without this, the search returns empty results.
From Setup, enter Agentforce Coworker in the Quick Find box and
select Get Started with Agentforce Coworker.
To activate the feature, set the Agentforce Cowork toggle to On.
Scroll to the Advanced Search Options section and select Go to Search
Manager.
In the Search Manager sidebar, locate and select Knowledge.
On the Search Index Fields tab, identify the fields containing your core article
content.
Select the Search Result Fields tab and make sure Title and URL Name are selected.
Note Selecting these fields allows the agent to provide clickable links and citations. To
ensure users can actually see these AI-generated summaries and citation links in the chat
window, they must be assigned the Agentforce Coworker User permission set.
To review how Agentforce Coworker identifies users across integrated data sources, return
to the search set up page and from the Agentforce Coworker setup page, select Go to
User Mapping.
Agentforce Coworker uses identity resolution to match user accounts across data sources,
using email addresses or single sign-on IDs. This ensures search results reflect the
permissions users have in each system. Review and manually resolve incorrect matches.
From Setup, enter Agentforce Orchestrator in the Quick Find box and
select Agentforce Orchestrator.
Click the name of your specific Agentforce Orchestrator record from the list.
Locate the Tool Settings section and make sure the Agentforce Service Agent is selected as
the primary tool.
Note The Orchestrator interacts directly with the ASA, which handles conversational intent and
relies on its underlying search configurations to surface knowledge.
