| To set the display format for actionable list columns: | Actionable Segmentation |
Easy visualization of data helps list creators apply filter criteria efficiently to select dataset records according to business requirements. For example, when creating an actionable list of high net worth individuals from New York, show the annual revenue values with the appropriate currency and number formatting relevant to the locale.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Actionable Segmentation, and then select Actionable Segmentation Settings.
- Click the action menu of an actionable list definition, and select Edit Column Display Format.
-
Check the suggested column formats and if suitable, click Apply
Suggestions. Otherwise, you can select a different column format for each of these
fields.
Note Saving the wrong format for a column results in an uninterpretable or empty field. -
Select
the filter input format as either text or multi-select picklist based on the dataset column.
- The multi-select picklist format helps the list creators to choose multiple distinct values when defining filters on the List builder page. For example, if the dataset column is Billing City, then list creators can easily define filters to filter Accounts with billing city such as New York or Chicago or London or Delhi or Singapore.
- Select the multi-select picklist format for columns requiring multiple value selections based on business need.
- The multi-select picklist format supports all column formats except for date, number, currency, and percent.
- The multi-select picklist format can list up to 1000 distinct values. If the count of distinct values exceeds 1000, the filter input format resets to text.
- List creators can select a maximum of 5 values when defining filters on the List Builder page.
- The multi-select picklist format leverages API calls enabled by the Query for Datapipelines User permission set, which has a monthly API call limit per Salesforce org. Exercise caution when using the multi-select picklist format. For more information on the monthly API call limit, see Actionable Segmentation Limits and Considerations.
- Save the changes.
