Set Up Intelligent Document Automation

To simplify your document management process, set up document types, enable an API to extract data, and ensure your users have access. You can also set up action plans, queues, or processes to automate your document work flows.

  1. Set Up a Document Type
    Set up a document type to hold the data you’re extracting from incoming documents. We start with a document type to handle patient referrals. You can use the same steps to create document types for any kind of data you anticipate working with.
  2. Enable AnalyzeID for Photo Identification
    AnalyzeID is a specialized API within Amazon Textract that extracts data from photo identification such as U.S. driver’s licenses and passports. Enabling this API allows for more accurate extractions with Intelligent Document Automation.
  3. Provide Action Plan Templates
    You can provide templates for users to create action plans. An action plan can improve the consistency of your document workflow by guiding the user to the right selection of document checklist items every time.
  4. Set Up Intelligent Document Automation Users
    Determine the users who work with documents and forms and give them the tools they need. For patient referrals, these users typically are case managers or intake coordinators.
