Apply for a License or Permit with Agentic Application Intake

Start a license or permit application from the Applicant Portal, and complete it in a guided flow with help from an agent.

User Permissions Needed
To apply for a license or a permit on the portal: Licensing, Permitting, and Inspections for Community User, Agentforce for Public Sector for Community, and Process Unstructured Documents for Customer Community
  1. Log in to the Applicant Portal.
  2. From the portal navigation, under License and Permits, select Apply for a License or a Permit.
  3. Answer the pre-screening questions to identify which licenses or permits apply to your situation.
    The agent can suggest options based on your answers.
  4. Complete each section of the application.
    To get help with a field or a question, ask the agent in the side panel. To show or hide the panel, select Show Application Assistant Agent.
  5. To fill in fields from a supporting document, select Upload Files in the upload section, choose the document, and then select Done.
    Unstructured Document Processing reads the document and fills in the fields that it recognizes. Until the extraction finishes, the document shows the status Pending data merge.
  6. Select Next to move to the following section.
    To return to an earlier section, select Previous.
  7. Review your answers, and then submit the application.

Track the application from My Dashboard by selecting View License and Permit Status. If a reviewer returns your application, it comes back with a reason explaining what to correct, and you can resubmit it.
