Configure Prerequisites for External Storage Search Skills

Before you set up the agent to assist with the search, verify that your Salesforce org meets the requirements and that external storage is configured.

Required Editions

View supported product editions.
User Permissions Needed
To assign permission sets and permission set groups:

Assign Permission Sets

AND

View Setup and Configuration
  1. Configure External Storage Search.
  2. Assign these permission sets to the administrator who configures the agent:
    • Access Agentforce Default Agent
    • Public Sector Access
  3. Assign this permission set to the org users, such as investigators, caseworkers, or anyone who works with the agent:
    Agentforce for Public Sector
  4. Assign this permission set to the employees, platform users, who work with the agent in an Experience Cloud site:
    Agentforce for Public Sector for Employee Community

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Einstein Generative AI Settings, and then select Einstein Generative AI Settings.
  2. Turn on External Storage Search Skills.
