Explore the OmniStudio Components for Automotive Scheduler

The appointment scheduling flows in Automotive Cloud are created using OmniStudio. Both the test drive and vehicle service appointment scheduling flows are OmniScript-based flows that use Omnistudio Data Mappers, FlexCards, and Integration Procedures behind the scenes.

Download the latest version of the OmniStudio package and add the OmniStudio Designer license to your org so that you can customize these components to modify the scheduling flows for your users, dealers, and customers.

Note Disable the Managed Package Runtime setting to create multiple versions of omniscripts and flexcards. Customers can clone the Omnistudio components to extend and modify standard OmniStudio content.

• Predefined OmniScripts for Automotive Scheduler
  An omniscript is a guided flow that helps users complete a complex business process in few simple steps. Both the guided flows for scheduling test drive and vehicle service appointments are built using omniscripts. These omniscripts also include two reusable omniscripts that help users select a dealer location and an appointment time slot. Customize the four predefined omniscripts if you want to modify the scheduling logic, the validations, or the look and feel of the guided flows.
• Predefined FlexCards for Automotive Scheduler
  A flexcard displays information in an OmniScript-based flow and helps users perform certain actions on screen. The guided flows for scheduling test drive and vehicle service appointments include multiple flexcards that determine the look and feel of the steps in the flow. Customize the predefined flexcards if you want to modify the type of information displayed to the user and the general formatting of the content.
• Predefined Integration Procedures for Automotive Scheduler
  An integration procedure helps you save, retrieve, and manipulate data for use in an OmniScript. Both the guided flows for scheduling test drive and vehicle service appointments include multiple integration procedures. The integration procedures process data from multiple sources, and uses multiple dataraptors to send the transformed data to the Salesforce Scheduler APIs. Customize the predefined integration procedures if you want to modify the type of data you’re sending to the APIs.
• Predefined Omnistudio Data Mappers for Automotive Scheduler
  Omnistudio Data Mapper is a mapping tool that enables you to extract, transform, and load Salesforce data for use in an Omniscript. Both the guided flows for scheduling test drive and vehicle service appointments include multiple data mappers. The data mappers read data from objects, captures new and changed data based on a user’s selections, and writes back transformed data to the flexcards, integration procedures, and omniscripts. Customize the predefined data mappers if you want to modify the input parameters for the JSON output during Extract and Transform, or if you want to modify the JSON output field mappings during Load.
