Create a Record Type for Connected Vehicle Service Processes
Before you create eligibility rules for specific service process definitions, represent
all service processes as products in Automotive Cloud. To distinguish service process products
from other types of products in Product Catalog Management, create a Product record type for
service processes.
Required Editions
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer
Editions.
User Permissions Needed
To create or change record types:
Customize Application
To list a service process as a service process product in Product Catalog Management,
turn on both the New Service Process Definition Sync and Existing Service Processes Definitions
Sync settings.
From Setup, go to Object Manager.
In the Quick Find box, enter Product, and then select
Product.
Go to Record Types.
Click New.
For Record Type Label and Record Type Name, enter
ServiceProcess.
To activate the record type, select Active.
To make the record type available to users with a specific profile, select Make
Available next to a profile.
To make the record type available for all profiles, select the checkbox in the header
row.
Click Next.
Save your changes.
