          Create Code Sets and Code Set Relationships in Automotive Cloud

          Use code sets and code set relationships to establish a set of service standards that can be accurately and consistently used in various operations and digital records. Define code sets to standardize labor activities, product defects, and expenses. Define code set relationships between product fault codes and product labor codes to identify the possible product defects and the type of effort required to resolve the defects.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
          User Permissions Needed
          To create code sets and code set relationships: Warranty Lifecycle Management permission set
          Important
          Important Here we show you how you manually create code sets and code set relationships. It’s more likely that your admin imports code sets from external source systems via the Data Loader or other import mechanisms.
          1. To create a code set, follow these steps:
            1. From the App Launcher, find and select Code Set.
            2. Click New.
            3. Enter a code name.
            4. To identify the context of the code, update the Source System and System Version fields.
            5. Enter the code.
            6. For code set type, select Product Fault Code or Product Labor Code.
            7. Enter effective start and end dates for the code set.
            8. If the code set is selected manually by a user instead of being selected by an automated process, select Primary.
            9. Select Active.
            10. Click Save.
          2. To create a code set relationship, follow these steps:
            1. From the App Launcher, find and select Codeset Relationships.
            2. Click New.
            3. For Codeset, specify a code set.
              For example, specify a product fault code.
            4. For Related Codeset, specify the code set that’s to be associated with the other code set.
              For example, specify a product labor code.
            5. For Codeset Type, select the type of the code set.
            6. For Related Codeset Type, specify the type of the code set that’s to be associated with the other code set.
            7. Click Save.
