Refresh a Decision Table

Refresh a Decision Table

To meet evolving business requirements, you add, update, or remove decision table rows. If you update the object or the custom metadata type that contain the row data, refresh the decision table to ensure that the outcomes are based on the latest data.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions for clouds that have Business Rules Engine enabled
User Permissions Needed
To refresh any decision table from Setup: System Administrator

By default, you can perform a full refresh of a decision table, where all the rows are updated with the latest data from sObject records. A full refresh can take some time based on the size of the decision table.

To save time, you can update the decision table data only with changes made to sObject data by invoking an incremental refresh action. You must perform a full refresh at least once on an active decision table before performing an incremental refresh. If an incremental refresh fails, a full refresh is automatically triggered. See Decision Table Refresh Action.

Note
Note You can refresh decision tables created by only you in your org.
Warning
Warning During an activation or refresh action, any ongoing data modifications on the underlying sObject data may not be integrated. To ensure the decision table incorporates the complete and latest configuration, trigger a Refresh action after all updates to the source sObject data are completed.
  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Decision Tables, and then select Decision Tables.
  2. From the decision tables list, select an active decision table that you want to refresh.
  3. To perform a full refresh, click Refresh.

When the refresh is completed, the Refresh Status and Last Refreshed Date is updated.
