Compliance Testing
Compliance testing is the essential process of evaluating a control's operating effectiveness to confirm it's functioning as designed. This testing occurs at critical points in the lifecycle, including before deploying a control, during periodic self-assessments to ensure ongoing performance, and as part of a formal risk assessment to determine the level of inherent risk. The goal of compliance testing is to provide assurance that all controls are effectively mitigating identified risks and consistently meeting established regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
