Create Visits by Using Barcode Scan

Add a customer by scanning a barcode. You can then use this customer to create visits.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
User Permissions Needed
To create customers:

CGCloud Sales User

OR

CGCloud Retail Sales User AND CGCloud Retail User

You can create visits by using a barcode if:

  • Customers have a valid barcode
  • The status of the tour is Running
  1. In the weekly or daily view, tap the menu, and then select Scan Customer.
  2. Save your changes.
