            Segmentation

            Create customer segments and optimize retail activities using data-driven insights from both B2B and B2C perspectives.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
            • Create a Standard Segment
              Utilize the Salesforce Standard Data Model (DMO) to build segments and create segment filters from its attributes.
            • Edit Segment
              After you create a segment, you can edit its rules or properties to provide updates or change the purpose.
            • Segment Activation
              After you create a segment in Data Cloud, you can publish it to a Data Cloud activation target.
            • Save the Segment to a Custom Object
              Save the segment results to a CG custom objects. Use an Apex class to connect to an API to retrieve segment information and create or update related records.
