Add Locations to a Quote and Order

Add Locations to a Quote and Order

After you create a quote, the next step is to add locations to the quote or order. Add locations by uploading a CSV file with the location data. Alternatively, add locations by selecting service accounts, or by manually entering new location details.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Communications Cloud Advanced
          Note
Note For information on how to create a quote for a new or existing customer with a single site, see Create Quotes for a New or Existing Customer. For information on how to view quotes or create a quote for an existing customer, see Create and View Quotes and Orders for an Existing Customer Account.

Add Locations in Bulk by Using a CSV File

Add locations in bulk by uploading a CSV file with location data from the Locations tab of a quote or order. Salesforce automatically maps the file columns to the corresponding fields. Alternatively, map columns manually from the uploaded file to fields in the quote line item recipient or order product recipient objects.

          Required Editions

          User Permissions Needed
To add locations from a CSV file:

          Revenue Cloud for Communications Features

          AND

          Advanced CSV Data Import

To upload multiple locations to a quote or order, create a CSV file with the location details. Download a sample locations file and update the file with your location details, or create a CSV file containing the location details with ServiceStreet, ServiceCity, ServiceState, ServiceCountry, ServicePostalCode, BroadbandConnectionType, MaxDownloadSpeed, MaxDownloadSpeed, MaxUploadSpeed, and Name column headings.

          Note
Note The RecipientType column is not supported in the CSV file. Salesforce automatically sets this value when you select the Locations tab.

When you upload the file, the fields are mapped based on the column heading. Alternatively, map columns manually from the uploaded file.

          1. Create a CSV file with the required locations details.
          2. On the quote or order record page, click the Locations tab.
          3. Click Upload icon
          4. Click Upload Files or drop a CSV file. After the files are uploaded, click Done.
          5. To manually map fields.
            1. Click Map Columns.
            2. Modify the mapping as needed.
            3. Save your mappings.
            4. Click Add.
          6. To automatically map the fields and add, click Add.
The locations from the CSV file are added to the Locations tab.
