Adjust Line-Item Pricing with Bulk Price Adjustment (Managed Package)

Use bulk price adjustment when you need to change the price of specific products in your quote without affecting others. Use Standard Selection to adjust selected root products. Use Advanced Selection to target specific child line items in one product hierarchy. This is ideal for complex B2B deals where different products have different negotiated prices.

Standard user permissions that grant the ability to access the Enterprise Sales App and manage quotes are required.

Bulk Adjust Price updates the final price of each selected product. Order-level discounts apply a percentage or amount to the entire quote. Use Bulk Adjust Price when only some products need a different price.

Open Pricing Controls from the Summary tab of an Enterprise Quote. In the Summary table, select at least one line item first. If no rows are selected, Apply Bulk Adjust Price is unavailable. A banner on the grid shows the number of selected rows.

In the Pricing Controls panel, scroll to Bulk Adjust Price. An alert states that bulk price adjustment applies only to selected line items.

Click Apply Bulk Adjust Price to open the Bulk Adjust Price window. The first page of the window asks you to pick a selection mode.

Choose a selection mode

Selection mode Use it when What to select
Standard Selection The same adjustment applies to every selected root product Root products in the Summary table. Optionally include child items of those parent products.
Advanced Selection The adjustment applies only to specific root or child line items in a hierarchy Line items that belong to the same root product. Set View By to Product Name before you select them.

Apply Bulk Price Adjustments with Standard Selection

Apply the same discount or upcharge to selected root products on an Enterprise Quote. Optionally include child items of those parent products.

Use Standard Selection when every selected root product gets the same adjustment. To target specific child line items in a hierarchy, see Apply Bulk Price Adjustments with Advanced Selection.

  1. From the Enterprise Quote record, go to the Summary tab.
  2. Select the line items that require price adjustment.
    A banner shows the number of rows selected. Apply Bulk Adjust Price is unavailable until at least one line item is selected.
  3. Click Pricing Controls.
    The Pricing Controls panel opens.
  4. Scroll to the Bulk Adjust Price section, then click Apply Bulk Adjust Price.
    The Bulk Adjust Price window opens.
  5. Select Standard Selection.
  6. To apply the adjustment to child items of the selected parent products, select Add adjustments to the child items of the selected parent products.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Confirm the selected line item count in the window header.
  9. Configure the price adjustment.
    1. Select Absolute Amount or Percentage.
    2. Select Discount or Upcharge.
    3. Enter the adjustment value.
  10. Click Add to stage the adjustment.
  11. Review the adjustment summary at the top of the modal.
  12. Save your changes.
    The prices update for the selected line items. The Recurring Total and One-Time Total columns in the Summary table show the new prices.

Apply Bulk Price Adjustments with Advanced Selection

Apply a bulk discount or upcharge to specific root or child quote line items in one product hierarchy. Use Advanced Selection when Standard Selection would change more lines than the deal requires.

Before you open Pricing Controls, set the Summary grid to Product Name and select line items that belong to the same root product.

  1. From an Enterprise Quote, go to the Summary tab.
  2. In the View By dropdown, select Product Name.
  3. Select the root line items that require a price adjustment.
    Select line items that belong to the same root product.
  4. Click Pricing Controls.
    The Pricing Controls panel opens.
  5. Scroll to Bulk Adjust Price, then click Apply Bulk Adjust Price.
    The Bulk Adjust Price window opens.
  6. Select Advanced Selection, then click Next.
  7. In the Advanced Selection grid, drill into the root product hierarchy that contains the quote line items to adjust.
  8. Select the root or child quote line items to adjust.
    Keep the selection under the same root product.
  9. Confirm the selection count at the top of the grid.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Confirm the selected line item count in the window header.
  12. Configure the adjustment.
    1. Select Absolute Amount or Percentage.
    2. Select Discount or Upcharge.
    3. Enter the adjustment value.
  13. Click Add to stage the adjustment.
  14. Review the adjustment summary at the top of the modal.
  15. Save your changes.
    The prices update for the selected line items. The Recurring Total and One-Time Total columns in the Summary table show the new prices.
