Adjust or Override a Product's Price in a Promotion in the Pricing Designer

You can select a product in the structure and add a pricing adjustment or override to it. Pricing adjustments or overrides to a product in a promotion are defined within the context of the bundle for the parent product.

This information is for the Vlocity Pricing Designer. For Vlocity Product Console, see Product Price Changes in a Promotion.

          1. From the App Launcher, click Vlocity Pricing Designer.
          2. Click Promotions from the navigation menu.
The Promotions item in the Pricing Designer navigation menu
          3. Click a promotion from the Name column.
          4. Click a product.
          5. In the panel on the right, scroll down to Pricing Adjustments. Click > to see any existing adjustments or overrides.
          6. Click + to add a pricing adjustment.
          7. Enter the following information in the New Price Adjustment panel. Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

            Type

            Select the type of promotion:

            • Adjustment - When you create an adjustment to a product's price in a promotion, you are creating a cost that adjusts the product's base price in the context of the promotion.

            • Override - When you create an override to a product's price in a promotion, the base price is replaced with the override price. No calculation with the base price is necessary.

Enter the name of the adjustment or override. This name is shown in the cart.

            Effective Date

            From

Specify the date and time the adjustment or override becomes available for use. When you choose the date, the system automatically populates the time with the current time. If the price does not have a beginning effective date that is current, you will not be able to use the adjustment or override and no adjustment or override appears in the cart.

            To
