Apply Special Handling to Inflight Order Amend (Managed Package)

To control user access for the Inflight Order Amend feature, which allows users to modify in-progress orders, you need to explicitly add a permission filter to the Amend Order to Quote button.

This feature is part of the Communications Cloud managed package.

Standard user permissions that grant the ability to access the Enterprise Sales App and manage quotes are required.

Note The Create Amendment Order button on the Summary page is controlled by the ESMCreateFinalOrder permission.

1. From Setup on the Order record page, click Edit Page.
2. On the Order record page layout, click Amend Order to Quote.
3. In the Actions list, click the Amend Order to Quote action.
4. On Set Action Visibility, click + Add Filter.
5. Click Advanced, then select Field.
6. Select Permissions > Custom Permission > ESMInflightOrderAmend, and click Done.
7. On Add Filter, click Done.
8. On Set Action Visibility, select All filters are true for the Show component when section, and click Done.
9. Save your changes to the Order record page layout.
