Change the Plan of One or Multiple Assets in Enterprise Sales Management (Managed Package)

Change the Plan of One or Multiple Assets in Enterprise Sales Management (Managed Package)

Upgrade or downgrade the plan of one or multiple assets with the same plan that are added to a quote. If you change the plan of a single asset, you can also compare the plan with the current plan.

Managed Package Icon This feature is part of the Communications Cloud managed package.

          REQUIRED EDITIONS
          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

For example, if your customer wants to change their limited phone plan to a plan that includes unlimited data, text, and talk, you can change their plan without disrupting their current phone service. You can also retain their service identifiers, including mobile number and email address. If multiple customers are currently on the Business Internet Essential plan, and experience an increase in web traffic, number of users, or device usage, then you can bulk-change their plan to a better alternative such as Business Internet Enhanced.

          1. Go to the asset viewer, select assets, and add them to a quote.
          2. Go to the Summary tab on the quote.
          3. To change the plan of a single asset, from The Actions menu for the associated quote line item, select Change Plan.
          4. To change the plan of multiple assets that are on the same plan, select their associated quote line items, and then click Change or Merge Plans icon. Click Bulk Change Plans.
For example, select the quote line items having the Business Internet Essential plan.
          5. Select a plan to replace the current plan with, and then click Next.
For example, select Business Internet Enhanced.
Based on the number of selected quote line items, the plan is replaced for one or multiple assets.
          6. To keep the configuration of current offers, select Yes. To save subsequent changes made to the configuration, select No.
For example, if your plan has a phone as its child offer, and you want to retain the phone in the selected plan, then click Yes. The changes made to the configuration or price aren't saved.
            Note
Note When you change a plan with linear relationships, and you keep the configuration of current offers in the current plan, then the linear relationships and attributes are retained. Alternatively, if you replace the configuration of current offers in the current plan with the configuration of equivalent offers in its respective new plan, then such linear relationships are deleted. See Change the Plan of One or Multiple Assets With Linear Relationships (Managed Package).
          7. To configure the selected plan, click the Configure Plan tab.
Review any alerts and errors in the cart.
          8. If you're changing the plan of a single asset, click the Compare Plans tab to compare the offers in the current plan with the equivalent offers in the selected plan.
            Note
Note When you return to the Configure Plan tab from the Compare Plans tab, the changes made on the Configure Plan tab are lost.

To see an equivalent offer in the new plan, click View Equivalent.

For example, if your current plan and the selected plan have Internet Security Software, you can view and compare the Internet Security Software in these plans.

          9. Click Next.
          10. To review the status, click Bell icon.
          11. Review the updated product information on the Summary tab.
