Create New Versions of Picklists
With Product Designer, you can track changes to picklist values. When you need to change a released version of a picklist, create a new version.
After a version of picklist values is released, no changes are allowed to that version. To change the picklist values, create a new version to add or discontinue values. To stop using a picklist, set it as inactive, but don't delete it. Deleting a picklist can affect the use of newer versions by existing assets. But you can delete an unreleased version of a picklist.
- From the Products tab, click Vlocity Picklists.
- Open a picklist, and click New Version.
- Enter a version label for the new version.

Click Save.
EPC clones the current version, including General Properties, Effectivity date, and Picklist values. The Lifecycle Status field is set to Draft so that you can make changes.
- In the Picklist Items section, click New Picklist Item, delete a picklist item, or edit a picklist item.

For new or changed picklist items, set the following properties, for example, a new download speed of 125 MB.

Value — Depends on the data type you selected under General Properties. This can be a date, a number, etc.

Code — For example, 125M.

Label — For example, 125 MB.

Abbreviation — Enter text.

- Set the Effectivity dates and click Active to activate the new picklist value.
- Click Done.

To release a picklist, click Release.
After a picklist is released, you can't modify the picklist items, though you can change the picklist's description, name, active status, and effectivity dates.
