Manage Your Subscriber Group in a Quote or Order

Manage Your Subscriber Group in a Quote or Order

Groups are useful when you have a large number of subscribers who need the same products. Create a group of subscribers and apply the same configurations to an entire set without applying the offer to each subscriber individually. This streamlines the process when multiple subscribers need the same configuration, improving the scalability and performance of quote line items or order line items.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Communications Cloud Advanced
          User Permissions Needed
To manage groups and configure offers:

          CME Sales Features

To browse catalogs and assign products: Manage Product Catalog

Create groups to suit your requirements, simplifying your quote or order process. Use groups to:

          • Add a list of subscribers to a single group.
          • Apply specific offer configurations to multiple subscribers at one time.

For example, a sales rep at Global Corp received a request from a customer to add the same mobile plans to multiple subscribers. The sales rep creates a group for the subscribers and configures the same product to the entire set of subscribers in the group without cloning the product for each subscriber individually.

          Add Subscribers to a Group

After you add a list of subscribers to a quote or order, organize subscribers into groups. Add subscribers to an existing group or create a group. Also, you can add the same subscriber to multiple groups. Then, apply the same configuration to an entire set of subscribers in the group.

          1. Select the subscribers and click Manage Group.
          2. To add the subscribers to an existing group.
            1. Select Add to an existing group.
            2. Select the group name.
            3. Save your changes.
            4. Select Add to an existing group.
The subscribers are added to the existing group.
          3. To create a group and add the subscribers to it.
            1. Select Create group.
            2. Enter the group name.
            3. Save your changes.
The subscribers are added to the new group.

          Create an Empty Subscriber Group

Create a subscriber group with an expected number of subscribers without adding actual subscriber data. Perform all operations on this group similar to the operations that you perform on any other group.

For example, when a company expands and opens a branch, such as in the United Kingdom, a common task is to secure mobile plans for employees. Due to GDPR requirements, employee names can't be provided. Instead, the company provides a list with the number of employees per role. Then you create groups for every role and quote specific plans for their needs.

          1. On the Subscribers tab, click Manage Group.
          2. Select Create Group.
          3. Enter a name for the subscriber group.
          4. Enter the expected number of subscribers in a group for group recipient quantity.
            Note
Note The value of Group Recipient Quantity must be within the range of 1 and 800.
          5. Save your changes.
An empty subscriber group is created with an expected number of subscribers, called the Group Recipient Quantity. Then add actual subscribers to this group. The number of subscribers actually added is known as the Recipient Count.
          6. Update the subscriber quantity of an empty group.
            1. On the quote or order record page, click the Subscribers tab.
            2. Go to View, and click your group name in the View by Group section.
            3. Click Options for Subscriber, and then select Edit Recipient Quantity.
            4. Enter the required recipient quantity.
              Note
Note The value of the updated recipient quantity must be within the range of 1 and 800.
            5. Save your changes.
