Set Up Permission Sets and Users for Multiplay Subscription Management (Managed Package)

Set Up Permission Sets and Users for Multiplay Subscription Management (Managed Package)

Download, install, and assign permission sets and permission set groups for Multiplay Subscription Management. Also, create the necessary users and profiles for MSM.

Managed Package Icon This feature is part of the Communications Cloud managed package.

          1. Deploy Permission sets:
            1. Download the Communication Cloud Permission Set Groups and OM Permission Sets zip files, and deploy them on your Salesforce org. See Deploy Sample Permission Sets and Permission Set Groups for installation instructions.
            2. The Communication Cloud Permission Set Groups contains all the Communications Cloud Advanced permission set groups or sets. The OM Permission Set Groups has all the Order Management permission set groups or sets. The MSM Permission Set Groups has the MSM_Content_Configuration permission set.
            3. See MSM_DemoInventory to download the MSM_DemoInventory permission set zip file and deploy on target org. If you get an error message about a missing tab, perform these steps:
              • Load the SalesforceComponents1 yaml files in the Project field in IDX.

              • Beside the Project field in IDX, click the Edit pencil icon.

              • Select the CustomTab option and click Fetch DataPacks.

                Fetched DataPacks

              • Select the missing tab in the All datapacks section and move it to the Selected datapacks section.

              • Save your changes.

              • Select only the missing tab component in IDX and click Migrate with Dependencies.

              • Redeploy the MSM_DemoInventory permission set.

            4. Verify if all permission sets are deployed in the target org without errors.
          2. Create users and assign permissions:
            1. Service Agent Users: To use the MSM Agent console, users with specific setup of profiles, roles, metadata, licenses, and permissions are required to be created or updated.
            2. Request additional vlocity_cmt licenses by sending an email request to vlocity.access@salesforce.com. After vlocity_cmt licenses are increased, make sure the guest user is assigned the vlocity_cmt license. To verify the same, do these steps.
              • From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter All Sites, and then select All Sites.

              • Beside Mobile Subscription Self Service Portal, click Builder.

              • Click the Settings gear icon on the left side of the community page.

              • Under Guest User Profile, click Mobile Subscription Self Service Portal Profile.

              • Click View users.

              • Click Site Guest User, Mobile Subscription Self Service Portal.

              • Scroll down to the Managed Packages section.

              • Check if vlocity_cmt licenses are present for the user. If not, click Assign Licenses and add vlocity_cmt license.

            3. Add permissions to the guest user:
              • From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter All Sites, and then select All Sites.

              • Beside Mobile Subscription Self Service Portal, click Builder.

              • Click the Settings gear icon on the left side of the community page.

              • Under Guest User Profile, click Mobile Subscription Self Service Portal Profile.

              • Click View Users.

              • Click Site Guest User, Mobile Subscription Self Service Portal.

              • Add the permissions as per the Guest User on the MSM reference org. See Multiplay Subscription Management Personas and Required Permission Sets.

            4. Customer Self Service Portal Users: These users are created and respective licenses and permission sets are auto-assigned at run time as part of the Customer onboarding in the MSM Guided Selling process.
