          Post-Install Steps for ​CME Winter '24

          If you are new to CME and have recently installed the Winter '24 release, follow these necessary manual configuration steps to set up and customize CME.

          After you have installed the applications package, you must perform the following steps.

          1. Configure the default cache partitions for CPQ and OmniStudio:
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Platform Cache.
            2. Click Platform Cache.
            3. Beside CPQPartition, click Edit.
            4. In the Org Cache Allocation section, set the Organization cache to 2.
            5. Click Save.
            6. Repeat steps c to e for the OmniStudio partitions: VlocityAPIResponse, VlocityMetadata, and OrchestrationItems.
          2. For orgs that use OmniStudio standard objects, enable legacy OmniScripts and Cards. For information on Omnistudio standard objects and identifying which version of Omnistudio your org uses, see Differences Between Omnistudio and Omnistudio for Managed Packages.
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Omni Interaction Configuration.
            2. Click Omni Interaction Configuration.
            3. Click Omni Interaction Configuration.
            4. In the Label field, enter EnableLegacyOmniScriptDesignerForLWC.
            5. In the Value field, enter true.
            6. Click Save.
          3. Install cards and templates:
            1. Note
              Note In the App Launcher, if you see more than one entry for Vlocity Cards, click an entry and ensure that the OmniStudio Layouts & Cards page is displayed. If the page isn't displayed, click the other Vlocity Cards entry from the App Launcher.
              From the App Launcher, click Vlocity Cards, then click the Additional Actions arrow in the top-right and install and activate all cards shown.
            2. From the App Launcher, click Vlocity Templates, then click the Additional Actions arrow in the top-right and install and activate all templates shown.
          4. Run the Attribute Override Batch Job.
          5. Run diagnostics to check if your configuration settings are correct:
            1. From the App Launcher, click Vlocity CMT Administration.
            2. Under Diagnostics, select Check Configurations Settings.
            3. Click Check.
            4. Review the results and make any necessary adjustments. If any items are highlighted in red, follow the on-screen instructions to troubleshoot.
            5. To modify settings, return to the dashboard, and, under Custom Settings, click CPQ Configuration Setup.
          6. To set up the Vlocity Product Designer, see Configure Vlocity Product Designer.
          7. To set up the Vlocity Pricing Designer, see Configure Pricing Designer.
          8. To deploy Industries CPQ in LWC.
            For an org with OmniStudio Disabled: See Deploy Industries CPQ in LWC with Managed Package Omnistudio.
            For an org with OmniStudio Enabled: See Deploy Industries CPQ in LWC with Standard Omnistudio.
          9. To set up bulk operations such as bulk replacement for Change of Plans or bulk updates, see Configure Bulk Processing.

          Once the post-install steps are completed, you can begin setting up the ​ Salesforce Industries Communications, Media, and Energy application by defining products, pricing, and rules in the shared catalog.
