          Revenue Cloud for Communications Prerequisites

          Before beginning the configuration of Revenue Cloud for Communications features, complete the preconfiguration to ensure a smooth and successful setup process. Tailor the sales experience by using permission sets and setup instructions to give each user precise access to the features they need.

          Required Editions

          Enable Revenue Settings

          Give your users access to Agentforce Revenue Management features in your Salesforce org and enable optional features to enhance the sales experience for your reps.

          User Permissions Needed
          To enable Revenue features:

          Customize Application

          Manage Revenue Cloud

          Enable Context Service

          Give your users access to Context Service objects and features to create and manage context definitions.

          User Permissions Needed
          To turn on Context Definitions: Customize Application

          Sync Your Pricing Data

          To ensure that the latest information is available in decision tables mapped to a pricing recipe with their usage type set to Pricing, regularly sync your pricing data.

          Explore the recommended permission sets for users and ensure they have the necessary access to perform critical tasks.

          CME Sales Features Provides users access to the necessary flow and multisite features.
          Manage Revenue Cloud Provides users access to create sales transaction types.
          Manage Flow Provides users access to create and update flows.
          Advanced CSV Data Import Provides users access to advanced CSV file import features.
          Context Service Admin Provides users access to create and manage all context service objects and context definitions.
          Context Service Runtime Provides read access for context definitions, and read and write access to all context present in the cache.
          Rule Engine Designer Permissions include access to run expression sets and lookup tables, access to Business Rules Engine objects, and use of context definition tags as list variables in expression sets.
          Rules Engine Runtime Permissions include access to run expression sets and lookup tables, and read access to Business Rules Engine objects.
          Product Catalog Management Designer Provides product designers read-write access to Product Catalog Management objects and APIs, and permission to set up Product Discovery and customize the product browsing experience.
          Product Catalog Management Viewer Provides read access to Product Catalog Management objects and APIs, and permission to browse products by using Product Discovery.
          Salesforce Pricing Admin Provides users access to the Salesforce Pricing Setup page.
          Salesforce Pricing Manager Provides users access to create, read, and edit access to all pricing objects and features.
          Salesforce Pricing Design Time User Provides users access to create, read, update, and delete access to all design time objects.
          Product Discovery Admin Provides users access to the Product Discovery Settings page in Setup.
          Product Discovery User Provides users access to use the product browsing experience.
          Product Configurator Provides read-write access on Product Configurator objects and APIs.
          Customize Application Provides users access to customize the application.
          CalculatePrices API Provides Quote and Order Capture Admin, Sales Rep, and Salesforce Operations Rep read-write access to calculate prices for Quotes and Orders using the API, along with access to any related entities.
          PlaceOrder API Provides Quote and Order Capture Admin, Sales Rep, Salesforce Operations Rep read-write access to calculate prices for Quotes and Orders using the API, along with access to any related entities.
          ProductAndPriceConfiguration API Provides Quote and Order Capture Admin, Sales Rep, Salesforce Operations Rep read-write access to Quotes, Orders, Assets using API.
          DRO Admin User Provides users access to the Dynamic Revenue Orchestrator app settings and all of its entities. This permission alone doesn't allow a user to submit an order.
          Fulfillment Designer Provides users access to all design time entities and interfaces that you require to configure products, decomposition rules, fulfillment plans, and scenarios.
          Fulfillment Manager/Operator Provides users access to all run-time entities and interfaces for managing and fulfilling the order.
          Submit Transactions and Fulfillment User Submit orders to Dynamic Revenue Orchestrator and call the invocable submitOrder action. Provides users access to perform order decomposition, plan composition, and plan execution.
          Submit Transaction User Submit orders to Dynamic Revenue Orchestrator and call the invocable submitOrder action. This permission set provides users access to submit transaction requests, but doesn’t provide access to any design or fulfillment tasks.
          Assetize Order Provides users access to assetize Orders using the API.
          Promotion Designer Provides users the required object access to advanced Global Promotions Management capabilities.
          Promotions Viewer Provides users access to view the configuration of promotions.
          Apply Promotions on Sales Transactions Provides users access to view and apply promotions on quotes and orders, and view applied promotions on quotes, orders, and assets.
          InitiateAmendment API Provides users access to amend Assets using the API.
          InitiateRenewal API Provides users access to renew Assets using the API.
          InitiateCancellation API Provides users access to cancel Assets using the API.

          Set Up the Sales Transaction Line Editor on a Quote or Order Record Page

          The Sales Transaction Line Editor provides a streamlined, single-grid layout that improves performance at scale. This helps sales reps organize, edit, and review transactions efficiently. Add and customize the line editor to manage how quote or order line items appear in the grid.

          Required Editions

          User Permissions Needed
          To set up Sales Transaction Line Editor: Manage Revenue Cloud
          1. Go to a quote or order record page.
          2. From the Setup menu, select Edit Page.
            The record page opens in the Lightning App Builder.
          3. Click the Tabs component.
          4. Remove the Transaction Line Editor from the tabs, if you’ve implemented it in Spring ‘26 or before.
          5. Click Add Tab in the Tabs component properties.
          6. Customize a tab by clicking it in the properties pane. Select a different standard label, or click Custom and enter the tab name.
          7. Drag the Sales Transaction Line Editor component to the tab.
            Note
            Note We recommend that you add the Sales Transaction Line Editor to the default tab on a quote or order record pages. This makes sure that the editor loads along with the page, rather than only when you switch to another tab.
          8. Customize the line editor component.
            1. Under Display Columns, click Select....
            2. Select the columns (fields) to show in the line editor.
              Important
              Important Make sure to add the [Quote Recipient Group].Name and [Quote Line Item Recipient].Name columns.
            3. If needed, select Show product quick add and Show side panel when users click a record link.
            4. To show fields on the side panel, move the fields to the Selected section, and arrange them in your preferred order.
          9. Save your changes and activate the record page.
