          Running Maintenance Jobs for the CME Managed Package

          If you are installing or upgrading Communications, you must run some maintenance jobs as part of the post-installation or upgrade process.

          To run maintenance jobs:

          1. Click the All Tabs button All Tabs button in Salesforce Classic., or click the App Launcher App Launcher button in Lightning Experience. and then click the Vlocity CME Admin app.
          2. Click Vlocity CMT Administration.
          3. Under Admin Console, click Maintenance Jobs.
          4. Next to the maintenance job that you want to run, click Start.
          • CMT Maintenance Jobs Fresh Install vs. Upgrade
            This table displays when you must run a maintenance job during a fresh install or an upgrade.
          • Account Hierarchy Maintenance
            This maintenance job adds any missing root account fields for hierarchical accounts.
          • Batch Validation
            This job validates a list of header items in opportunities, orders, or quotes against a predefined list of rules and entity filters.
          • Clear Managed Platform Cache
            This job clears the org cache in the CPQPartition platform cache. The job does not affect other cache partitions.
          • Field Maps Maintenance
            This job creates or restores default Field Mapper settings that the CPQ flow uses to map fields between objects. This job is critical for obtaining the latest field mappings for new fields.
          • Interface Implementation Maintenance (Merge)
            This job merges existing interfaces and implementations with the default Vlocity interfaces and interface implementations.
          • Interface Implementation Maintenance (Restore)
            This Maintenance job restores the default set of Vlocity Communications interfaces and implementations, returning the system to the default operational state.
          • Object Maps Maintenance
            The Object Map Maintenance job is part of the upgrade process when changes have been made to the default object mappings. This job deletes existing object mappings and creates the following default Object Mapper settings:
          • Product Hierarchy Maintenance
            This job builds a streamlined version of the product hierarchies in the Data Store sObjects, enabling the (formerly ) and Refresh Platform Cache (Incremental) jobs to use the hierarchy data.
          • Refresh Platform Cache
            This job copies product hierarchy data to the platform cache and rebuilds the product attribute cache.
          • Refresh Platform Cache (Full)
            This job copies product hierarchy data to the platform cache and rebuilds the product attribute cache.
          • Refresh Platform Cache (Incremental)
            The Refresh Platform Cache (Incremental) job updates the platform cache with changes in the product hierarchy without deleting existing data. Run the Product Hierarchy Maintenance job before you start the Refresh Platform Cache (Incremental) to ensure that changes to product bundles are properly reflected in your implementation.
          • Product Category Data Maintenance
            This job regenerates the Category Data JSON for all Product2 records.
          • Reset XLI Validation Data
            This job resets header items in objects to their default states.
