Allow a Supplemental Order to Override a Change to an Attribute

Allow a Supplemental Order to Override a Change to an Attribute

When an attribute's value is changed by a fulfillment operation (for example, by an external integrator), Order Management maintains that new attribute value, even if a later supplemental order calls for a different value. You can change that default behavior.

An item showing an icon that indicates that an attribute has been changed during fulfillment.

Changing this behavior means that a supplemental order will set the value for the attribute in question, even if that value was changed already during fulfillment.

To allow a supplemental order to override a change to an attribute value, follow these steps:

          1. From the product page that contains the attribute in question, click inside Fulfillment Behavior field.
The Product window, highlighting the Fulfillment Behavior field.

            .

          2. In the Fulfillment Behavior window, enter the full name of the attribute that you want to allow supplemental orders to override, then click OK. To enter multiple attributes, separate their names by commas.

The item is not given the symbol that normally indicates that the attribute value cannot be changed. The attribute value will be overridden by any supplemental order, even if that value has been changed sometime in the past during fulfillment.
